Dessert Professional magazine is proud to be the sponsor of Team Mexico at the 2010 World Pastry Team Championship at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort in Phoenix, AZ. The championship will be held on Monday July 5th and Tuesday July 6th in the Marriott Convention Center.
Team Mexico is captained by Oscar Ortega. He is joined by teammates Alejandro Leduga and Mirko Bucci. The World Pastry Team Championship is held biannually and brings together three person teams of pastry chefs who represent their respective nations in competing for $50,000 in total prize money.
An international panel of pastry chefs will judge each team's chocolate and sugar showpieces, plated desserts, chocolate bon-bons, and confection. Dessert Professional magazine is a New York City based print publication read by pastry chefs, chocolatiers, bread bakers, cake artists, caterers and members of the fast growing dessert industry. Each issue features recipes, chef profiles, tips, techniques, and profit driven editorial.
Dessert Professional was launched in 2008 by combining the magazines Chocolatier, Pastry Art & Design, and Frozen Desserts, continuing twenty-six years of culinary publishing.
