Does anyone have experience with an electric chocolate melter? I've been using a double boiler for years, but I am thinking of upgrading to an electric melter. I was looking at one made by Wilton, but since I have no experience with these little gadgets, I wanted to get some feedback before I buy it. Thanks!

I have heard that Mol d'Art chocolate melters are some of the best in the industry and that they are very reliable. They also seem to be very easy to operate and maintain.

Sandra Larry.  Although I do not own one I have had the privilege of using one of the Mol d'Art chocolate melters when I did an apprenticeship.  These machines are absolutely wonderful.  They are designed to keep the chocolate in a liquid state without congealing along the sides or bottom.  I'm not sure exactly how they work but if one is serious about working with chocolate, then this is the way to go.  They are a little on the expensive side but well worth the cost.  Here is their website. http://technobake.com/collections/all  I encourage you to take a look.

I have actually used Mol d'Art melters a few times in the past at work and I think they are truly one of the greatest options out there. They are expensive, but I see it as an investment rather than an expense.

Thanks for the information! I looked into the Mol d'Art melters and I think it's exactly what I'm looking for.

Have either of you worked with Panibois baking molds? I saw them mentioned here and I'm fascinated by them.

I have not worked with them but I hear they are wonderful.  My list includes purchasing a couple in the future when my business takes off and I can afford them.  I would love to hear from folks that have used them.

Hey Allykat! Panibois molds are indeed awesome. Actually, I am currently selling a sample pack that would be useful for anyone wishing to get started with them. If you're interested, you can check it out here: http://technobake.com/collections/panibois/products/panibois-sample...

I hope this helps :)

Wow!  That's really reasonable for a sample pack.  Thanks for the information Reed.  I've always wanted to try these on my own and you have now given me the opportunity to do so.  :)

Hello Ally,

If you're looking to analyse more options, I would like to recommend this chocolate melter https://www.kreaswiss.com/chocolate-melter-20kg

Recently I had to buy a new chocolate melter and this seemed quite good, no problems so far.

About the Panibois baking molds, can you tell me more about them? I see that they are made of wood right? Can they be washed properly after?
