I have a question about compressed air, I want to use it to spray cocoa butter but I'm not sure where to get it.  I live in Ohio but have not been able to find it locally, any suggestions? Thanks!

Before I got a compressor, I used canned air from Michael's craft store.  It is made by Badger, the same company that makes the airbrush.  Try checking local craft stores or online.  The only problem with it is the same with canned air for cleaning your computer keyboard, after a while the air starts coming out cold, which sets your cocoa butter.  It's good for a few minutes though.  You can also switch back and forth to different cans when one gets cold.
Thanks for your help! I can't wait to try this out.

HI Melanie,

I like to buy it on line from  Scale Hobbyist. It's usually cheaper than Michael's and I like to buy a bunch of cans at a time so I have a stock and don't run out while in the middle of spraying. The can does get cold so like to put it in a jar of hot water to keep it from freezing over. Here you can find a photo and a few other airbrushing tips my blog. Good Luck!

Jon,

I'm thinking of getting a compressor because I feel as though the cost of cans is adding up. Any tips on compressor types?

I'll have to check what brand we have at work.  One of my people picked it up at Harbor Freight and Tool.  Not a brand most pastry people use I'm sure, but it is meant for airbrushes.

I like the spray can in the warm water idea.  I never would have thought of that.

I see this thread has some years, but what do you think about this matter nowadays?...

I recently came across this company that has an electric spray gun for oils

https://www.kreaswiss.com/oil-spray-gun

I'm really considering on buying one, but since I didn't used to spray oils before, I'm not exactly an expert in this and I would like to have more information...

Thank you in advance.
