so my work entered a cake competition and we won!!! we've been working for about 2 months on the design and making all the decorations. everything except the statues are edible. mostly gum paste and sugar. everything was handmade and took forever! we airbrushed all the tiers, masks, and feathers. we won best in show at the phoenix NACE elements competition. we went against a lot of very well known cake artists in the phoenix area. our cake was a chocolate sponge with praline crunch and praline… Continue

Well, I got laid off from the baking job. Our town is small and the business's are floundering, they couldn't afford to pay me. This has been a huge set-back and very discouraging. I also lost my day job, so I'm thinking of packing up and going to Orlando. Any Orlando bakers out there need some assistance?

I was awarded at my graduation the Roy Thomas Blood/Thelma Wileman Award for Outstanding Work by a Pastrycook 2009!! This was by the generous bequest of the couple mentioned and nominated for by the teachers at William Angliss Institute! Very honourd to have recieved this award!
