The Specialty Food Export workshop will take place at the Martin Building of the State Fairgrounds on May 7. Registration is free and breakfast and lunch will be included (catered by the Q-Shack). The objective of this workshop is to assist specialty food companies to get ready to export and meet with a European buyer. Topics will include export quoting, getting paid, inco terms, shipping/ freight forwarding, labeling, sales and marketing and buyer’s perspective. Below please find the agenda. Many thanks to those who have already signed up. Please inform Cathy Xuefang Ma, International Trade Specialist immediately if you would like to attend since she needs a headcount to order breakfast and lunch (free of charge for all of you). The workshop will be like a classroom style but you will have opportunities to meet one-on-one with five speakers including the buyer. Please bring sufficient business cards for networking and a couple of samples to present or sample to the buyer.
This may be of particular interest to the makers of fine chocolates and candy. I have attended this workshops and they are immensely helpful and it's great to get a clear understanding of exporting food products. Pass it on to anyone in the Raleigh, NC area who might be interested in attending.
